Summer Fun

Porter has had lots of fun playing with friends and cousins, going to the park, playing in water, and going on a family trip to San Diego Zoo, a train museum, and an airplane museum.

First Father and Son Campout

Tyson just took Porter on his first Father and Son Camp Out.
Porter LOVED it.

Sleep tight, don't let the bugs bite!

Wearing Hats

Porter's new favorite thing to do is wear his hats.  He asks for them as soon as he wakes up in the morning and wears/plays with them all day.

Almost Walking

Porter is getting closer every day to start walking now.  He does really well with help, but hasn't quite figured out his balance enough to give it a go on his own.

Some of his favorite words right now are: Car, Basketball, Baseball, Jesus, and "Ruff, Ruff" (that is what he says for dog).

He loves to be outside as much as he can, and doesn't care if its snowing, raining or sunny.  When it is wet weather outside he doesn't like being covered up either, he loves to feel it on his face.

Porter constantly reminds me that some of life's greatest joys are the simple things in life.

Growing

Porter didn't wait long after my last post to start crawling on all fours.  Two days before Christmas he gave it a try, and hasn't stopped since.  In the last couple weeks he has also started pulling himself up, but then gets stuck.  He hasn't figured out how to sit back down after standing up.  He really doesn't like falling down, so he mostly sits there and whine until we will sit him back down.  Won't be long before he's walking though.  He's also started to say some of his first words, "ball" and "uh-oh" are his two favorites though.  He has also started to get his molars in this week.  He's definitely letting more of his personality show with all the growing he is doing.  He lets us know if it is something he does or doesn't want with his so few words.  Lots of fun and lots of laughing we do with him.  He loves to be chased by us as well and thinks its one of the best games.
