Christmas Tradition

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is to have a "Gingerbread House" making contest.  Now we don't really use real gingerbread, we kind of cheat and use graham crackers and hot glue because we only have an hour to complete the project.  We break up the the family members who are there into four or five teams, make anything we want and then see who was the most creative or make something off of a memory in the end.  Here are some pictures of this years contest.

And the contest is started...

This group made Hagrid's Hut off of Harry Potter

This group had Santa stuck in the chimney.

This group re-created a memory...on the way to our reunion this last summer one family hit a couple coyotes on the way, so this is the scene from that experience.

This group had a variety package for their creation.

This group's creation was for the benefit of a little friendly family rivalry we have.
